A good support followed the Hi Hi’s down the A1 to take on Berwick Rangers at Shielfield Park last Saturday. Despite the atrocious conditions both sides contributed to an entertaining match that saw Berwick win by five goals to three. Gary Windram put the visitors ahead when he headed in a 3rd minute corner kick. Five minutes later it was all square when skipper Nick Aitchison was penalised for a tackle in the box and Berwick equalised from the spot. Goalkeeper Robbie Stirling appeared to injure himself in trying to save the penalty and his lack of mobility saw the home side move ahead. Campbell McLellan was brought on but was soon beaten by a low shot. The Millfield men brought it back to 3-2 thanks to a good finish by Tom Davies but Berwick restored their two goal lead on the stroke of half time. There was little between the sides in a second half played in a downpour. Both sides found the net once with Berwick running out 5-3 winners.
