As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to membership of the Scottish Football Association, we have been advised, as part of the annual review, that a Club Chaplain requires to be appointed under Article 8.20 – Codes of Practice – Wellbeing & Protection. This is a new role that seeks to offer help and advice to all within HAFC.
We are therefore delighted to advise our supporters that the Reverend Malcolm Lyon has been appointed to this position and we look forward to working with him in the coming months. Malcolm is a ‘weel kent’ face in the town, having been educated both at Kings Meadow and Knox Academy. He currently serves as a Church of Scotland minister at St Michaels Parish Church, Inveresk. Malcolm is also a season ticket holder and we wish him well in this new role. Watch out for an interview with Malcolm in the next match programme.
