Haddington are ten games into their current Premier League campaign and two wins, four draws and four defeats is the outcome from these games. However the Hi Hi’s have had some tough fixtures with six of the ten games being played away from home. This Saturday, last seasons Conference B champions, Oakley United, visit Millfield and it’s fair to say that the other promoted side have also found it tough in tier 6. Their only league win to date was at Innerleithen against bottom side Vale of Leithen and they will be eyeing up another opportunity to pick up a further three points.
Manager Scott Bonar has been hampered by a series of injuries to some of his top players, and on occasion has been without six or seven players on a match day. The injuries are gradually clearing up although it could still be a couple of weeks before everyone is fit again. He was heartened by his sides last performance against their neighbours Tranent when it took extra time to see the Lowland League side through to the next round of the South Challenge Cup. No doubt the pre match talk on Saturday wlll be about taking that form into what promises to be a keenly contested league match with three valuable points at stake. Once again the home support can play their part in hopefully helping Haddington to their first home league win in the Premier Division.
