The Hi Hi’s made it six wins in a row when they beat promoted side Luncarty in the sun at Millfield last Saturday. The home side dominated the early proceedings and they were rewarded when Guy McGarry’s pass from the right found Gary Windram in space at the edge of the box and he scored with a low left foot shot. The lead was extended later in the half when Ross King found Joe Tait on the right and Guy McGarry’s run was timed to perfection when he swept Tait’s low ball into the net.

To their credit Luncarty gave it everything in the second half as they tried to find their way back into the game. They certainly didn’t look like a pointless side as they made most of the running. The nearest they came was a shot that hit the bar with Cornet beaten. As so often happens Haddington hit them with a sucker punch after substitutes Riley Haston and Dylan Tait combined with the latter’s shot finding the net. Tait was also instrumental in the final goal when he set up another substitute, Robbie Peffers, to score from six yards out.
