Unfortunately, our match against Bo’ness Athletic which was scheduled to be played on Saturday, 14 February was postponed due to a frozen pitch, as wintry weather wiped out most of the East of Scotland Football League schedule. Details of the re-arranged fixture will be posted on the fixtures section of the website in due course.
We’re due back in action at Millfield on Saturday, 21 February for a Premier Division fixture against St Andrews United (2.30pm).
The two clubs last met on 24 August last year, when we travelled to Fife for a Premier Division encounter. It was the home side who took the lead on 18 minutes when Lewis Sawers netted from the penalty spot. In an otherwise uneventful first half, neither goalkeeper had a save to make and there was very little between the two sides. The Hi Hi’s equalised on 55 minutes when Ryan Cameron tapped home from close range after Tom Davies’ effort ricocheted into the air. But the home side were back in front seven minutes later when the ball snuck over the line off a Haddington player. We then equalised for a second time on 64 minutes courtesy of a smart finish from Ryan Cameron at the edge of the box. There was to be no further goalscoring, with a draw felt to be a reasonable and fair result under the circumstances.
