The Hi Hi’s ended a run of odd goal defeats by winning by the only goal of the game in a Premier Division match against Glenrothes at Warout Stadium last Saturday. Manager Scott Bonar made several changes to his previous line up and he saw his side make a positive start dominating the opening exchanges. There were few clear cut chances in a competitive first half but Lucas McGarry could have given his side the lead when he headed past from a good position. Equally the home side would regret a miskick by one of their forwards from close range. Haddington held the upper hand in the early stages of the second half with skipper Auriemma prominent in attack. In fact it was Auriemma who put the Hi hi’s ahead in the 60th minute with a low shot that eluded the home goalkeeper. Glenrothes hit back but the visitors held firm and created several good opportunities to put the game beyond the home side, McGarry, Windram and Auriemma all came close to extending the Haddington lead.
Another excellent three points for the Hi hi’s in Fife and another clean sheet for a good defensive performance.
