Away wins at Kinnoull and Bo’ness Athletic have earned us a home tie to greatly look forward to against neighbours Dunbar United on 21 April in the RJM Sports League Cup – it’ll be our fourth derby contest of 2025/26, the third at Millfield. Memorably, we came back from behind to win twice on consecutive September Saturdays, but 2025 ended on a real down with a 3-1 league defeat at the Seasiders’ hands at Millfield on 28 December.
Two years ago we hosted Dunbar at the same stage of the competition, and progressed en route to the final with a 2-1 win thanks to a coolly converted penalty from then 17 year old Robbie Peffers near the end. The derby series from the 2018 switch from Junior football stretches to nine meetings to date, four wins apiece and one drawn. With a fair bit at stake elsewhere in East Lothian as we approach the season’s closing stages this draw adds greatly to an exciting April ahead locally!
