On Saturday, Haddington Athletic travelled to West Lothian for an East of Scotland Qualifying Cup tie against Whitburn Junior.

The hosts scored an early goal after three minutes courtesy of Callum Bremner. Their lead was doubled on 21 minutes when Cameron Graham headed the ball into the back of the net, with the Hi Hi’s struggling to find a rhythm.

It was to prove a frustrating afternoon for the Hi Hi’s, with Scott Bonar’s men failing to get the goal which would have got us back in the tie, ending our interest in the Qualifying Cup for another year.

The Hi Hi’s have the chance to put the disappointment behind them this Saturday when they take on Hill of Beath Hawthorn at Millfield in our latest Premier Division fixture.

After going unbeaten in the league in September, it’s hoped momentum will continue in the weeks ahead. But we face a tough test against last season’s league runners-up, who have made another decent start in 2025/26.
