We travelled to Dunipace on Saturday with hopes of putting the derby defeat against Musselburgh Athletic behind us, in our 14th league game of the season.

The opening 45 minutes were very finally balanced, with very little in the game. A great strike on 30 minutes by Tom Davies, following a cross from Ryan Cameron, was well saved by home goalkeeper, Lewis McMinn.

Haddington counterpart, Jamie Smith, had to be alert to pull off a good save from a Dunipace opponent after 50 minutes of play.

The home side scored the only goal of the game after 77 minutes. A free kick on the left a few years inside our half was delivered towards the back post. A headed clearance deflected off a Hi Hi’s player into the path of Sam Colley, who was able to sweep home from a few yards out.

Many onlookers felt there was very little between the sides throughout the 90 minutes, but it was Dunipace who took all the points, maintaining their excellent home record in the process.
