On 20 March, we travelled to Newton Park for a RJM Sports League Cup Second Round match against Bo’ness Athletic.
It was a strong looking Hi Hi’s side which took to the pitch, with a number of players available for selection again following recent injuries or suspensions. After a first half of few opportunities, it was Haddington that took the lead on 68 minutes. Ryan Cameron coolly chipped the ball into the net from the right of the six-yard box, set up by Liam Kelly shortly after coming off the bench. We doubled our advantage on 84 minutes when a Bo’ness player was dispossesed 15 yards inside the opposition half. The ball was then cut back by Grant Rose to Tom Davies who swept his shot into the back of the net.
It was enough to clinch our place in the last 16 with a very professional display against highly capable opponents, who we look forward to meeting again today on Premier Division business.
We look forward to welcoming Bo’ness Athletic to Millfield this Saturday (28 March) for a Premier Division fixture, our first match at home in over a month. The match has a 2.30pm kick off.
