After the disappointment of Saturday’s 3-1 derby defeat at the hands of Dunbar United, we make the short trip to Edinburgh on Saturday to face Hutchison Vale in our opening league game of 2026.
The home side, who currently sit bottom of the Premier Division table, will undoubtedly be up for the occasion and – given their league position – determined to pick up the points.
It won’t be an easy match for the Hi Hi’s, although memories will be relatively fresh from when we secured a commanding 6-0 Premier Division win over Hutchison Vale at Millfield in September. Ryan Cameron scored a hat-trick, with further goals coming courtesy of Luke Kennedy, Liam Kelly and Tom Davies. It was our biggest margin of victory since the 7-1 win at Luncarty almost a year previously. Only some inspired goalkeeping from the visitors’ No.1 prevented the Hi Hi’s from scoring more goals.
Saturday’s match at Saughton Enclosure kicks off at 2.30pm.
