An overdue post to bring everyone up to date with our new Under 20s team who kick off their league campaign with a match at Lockerbie against Mid Annandale on Friday evening. Manager Willie Sives’s side acquitted themselves well in a tough League Cup section. An opening day reversal to Edinburgh City was followed by narrow defeats by both Cumbernauld Colts at Whittingehame Drive and Bonnyton Thistle in Kilmarnock. It was felt that they had been unlucky to lose the last two and they gained their maiden victory with a 5-1 win over Inverkeithing HS in Fife. Last week they beat Dunipace 2-1 at Whittingehame Drive to complete their sectional games. The youngsters are also eligible to turn out for the senior team and quite a few of the players have gained experience with the senior squad. All the best on Friday!
