The Hi Hi’s entertained Dunipace in their last home East of Scotland Premier League match of the season at Millfield last Saturday. A good crowd of almost 250 turned up to see if the home side could maintain their recent good form and stretch their unbeaten run to eight matches. However a stuffy Stirlingshire side had other ideas and they scored the only goal of a tight match in the 73rd minute following a series of errors by the home side.

It could have been different if Haddington had taken their chances in a competitive first half. Ross King shot wide from a good position and then Grant Rose struck the post from all of 20 yards with the visiting goalkeeper beaten all ends up. Dunipace always seemed to have the edge in midfield but despite enjoying more possession they rarely threatened Jamie Smith in the home goal. After falling behind late in the game, manager Scott Bonar sent on Lucas McGarry up front, to replace the injured Grant Rose. He came closest to an equaliser when he got on the end of a Craig Reid free kick but his header struck the bar and went over. Ross King had the final chance to equalise when he shot narrowly over from just inside the box.
