Having scored a total of 16 goals in their last two matches, Haddington were expecting a tougher test in Fife last Saturday against a St Andrews side unlucky to lose on penalties at Dunbar the previous week. Manager Joe Hamill sent out the side that won at Arniston and he saw his side hit four goals without reply in a fine first half performance. Ali Simpson headed the opener in the fourth minute and Cameron Watson headed in a second on the half hour mark. Minutes later another spectacular effort from Ross King flew into the top corner and Simpson added another on the stroke of half time. The home side tried hard to reduce the leeway after the interval but only had a solitary goal to show for their efforts. The Hi Hi’s now have two home matches coming up against Burntisland and Dunipace coming up and they need maximum points to stay in touch with the early pacesetters.
