Haddington moved back to the top of Conference A when they scored an emphatic win at Kings Park, Dalkeith last Saturday.  The visitors were able to welcome back full backs Zach Szemis and Ross King and once again Gordon Harris and Seamus Russell were the pairing in central defence. There was little evidence of what was going to happen in the opening stages with Dalkeith on the front foot. However once Gabri Auriemma had put the Hi Hi’s ahead there was only going to be one winner. The same player added a second with a classy finish and a red card to a Dalkeith defender for a last man foul on McGarry made the home side’s task even harder. Gordon Harris scored with a well placed shot before Auriemma completed his hat trick before the interval when Shaun Hill unselfishly set him up. The Hi Hi’s continued to dominate and second half goals from McGarry, Jones and a trialist completed the scoring. This result puts the Millfield side three points clear at the top and they now have a better goal difference than their closest challengers.
