The Haddington players, having completed their league campaign last weekend, face one more challenge before they end their season. They have reached the quarter final stage of the League Cup and if they are to progress to the last four, they must beat Jeanfield Swifts at the Riverside Stadium in Perth this Saturday. Jeanfield have secured third place in the Premier League but lost to the Hi Hi’s when they met in Perth in March. The Perth side will be favourites to go through – a home semi final against champions Musselburgh awaits the winners. The Hi Hi’s reached the final last season but if they are to repeat this feat then they will have to get past two strong sides. Scott Bonar has had to contend with a number of injuries in recent weeks and some players, to their credit, have had to play although not fully fit. This was evident in recent weeks in the matches against both Dunipace and Dundonald. They will again give their all tomorrow but it will be a tough ninety minutes.
