The Hi Hi’s have featured in three Millfield friendlies and all three have attracted good attendances. Following last Tuesday’s win over Dunbar Athletic, there was unfamiliar opposition in the shape of Garstang FC from Lancashire who play in the North West Counties League. Once again conditions were hot and the referee allowed a few water breaks so the players could re-hydrate. Guy McGarry headed the home side into an early lead and although the visitors took time to settle, they led 3 – 1 at the break. Haddington held the upper hand in the second half nd equality was restored through a Dylan Tait penalty and a cross from Seamus Russell that eluded the goalkeeper.

Conditions were hot again last night (Tuesday) when a much changed Craigroyston side provided the opposition. It was clear from the start that the city side were much changed and had already beaten Premier League opponents in the shape of Vale of Leithen. The home side enjoyed plenty of possession but appeared to lack a cutting edge throughout the match. The visitors took the lead in a game of few chances, when Mair beat Cornet with a spectacular effort, just after the first water break. Haddington dominated the second half but they couldn’t find a way through a well drilled Craigroyston defence.
