A full house at Haddington Bowling Club last Sunday, saw the crowd suitably entertained by well known after dinner speakers, John McKelvey and Willie Young, the event ably MC’d by long serving Hi Hi’s committee member Louis Fairlie. One of the highlights of the afternoon was the presentation of the Under 20s Player of the Year, and both first team Player’s Player of the Year and Player of the Year. Club President Drew Donaldson introduced the club’s main sponsor, Craig Douglas, of the town’s Victoria Inn, to present the awards. The successful recipients were Under 20s Player of the Year, Riley Haston, First Team Player’s Player of the Year, Guy McGarry, and Player of the Year, skipper Nick Aitchison. All three players thoroughly deserved their awards and this was recognised by those present.
