Peebles Rovers proved to be stuffy opponents in Haddington’s opening Conference A match at Millfield last Saturday. Manager Joe Hamill’s side featured several new faces and the home side made an early breakthrough when new boys Keiran Grant and Ryan Hutchison combined for the latter to open the scoring with a good finish. Haddington failed to add to this and Peebles stunned them with an equaliser on the stroke of half time. The home side dominated the second half but had to be patient . Once Gordon Harris headed the Hi Hi’s back into the lead there was only going to be one winner. Substitute Lewis Sives scored with a 20 yard drive and Gabri Auriemma completed the scoring with a close range finish.

Haddington face a tough match at Millfiled this Wednesday when they face Lothian Thistle HV in a Conference A match which has a 7.30pm kick off.
