Two pre season friendlies at Whittingehame Drive produced mixed results for the Hi Hi’s. Manager Joe Hamill was disappointed to be on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline when they entertained Newtongrange Star last Saturday. However he was a happier man last night when his side beat Lowland League outfit Whitehill Welfare. The visitors took an early lead but goals from Andy Jones and Jordan Cropley had the Hi Hi’s ahead at the break. A spectacular effort from last seasons top scorer, Scott Moffat, extended the home lead. Whitehill reduced the leeway but almost immediately, Andy Jones restored the two goal lead. The Rosewell side added a late consolation but the Hi Hi’s ran out winners by four goals to three.
