Haddington’s unbeaten run could be under threat on Saturday when Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale visit Millfield in a Premier Division match. The capital side upset the form book last Saturday when they beat Linlithgow Rose at Prestonfield – the only team to date this season to take maximum points from the runaway league leaders.
The Hi Hi’s recent good run has taken them into the top half of the table but there is still a third of the league to go and in a league where any club is capable of beating an opponent irrespective of league position, nothing can be taken for granted. When the sides met at Ainslie Park earlier in the season a Niall Kemp goal saw an understrength Haddington side take their first three points of the current league campaign. It’s fair to say that LTHV have improved since then and the Hi Hi’s will face a much improved side. However the home side have grown in confidence since they were last defeated and they will be going all out to extend their unbeaten run. Once again the Haddington support can play their part in encouraging their favourites.
