On Saturday 5th May 1973 the Hi Hi’s pulled off a tremendous cup final victory when they beat the much fancied Linlithgow Rose by one goal to nil in the final of the East of Scotland Cup at Tynecastle. The only goal of the game came in the second half with striker Colin Dickson netting what proved to be the winner.

Coincidentally champions elect  Linlithgow visit Millfield for a Premier League game on Saturday 29th April just one week from the 50th anniversary of that famous cup win. The Hi Hi’s are trying to contact everyone that was part of the cup winning squad that day and the hope is that some of the cup winning players will be at Millfield on the 29th. Unfortunately not everyone is still with us or able to attend but the club are keen to mark what is an important anniversary, which also falls on the 50th anniversary season of playing in the current ground at Millfield.
