Confidence will be high as the Hi Hi’s return to Millfield on Saturday when they face Perth side Jeanfield Swifts in an East of Scotland Premier League match. Whilst this is the best start that Haddington have made at this level, they will be fully aware that their record against the Perth side is far from impressive. In four meetings in this league, Jeanfield have won three out of the four. The last time was at Millfield in April when, despite taking a first minute lead, the Hi Hi’s lost out by the odd goal in three. Jeanfield have been league contenders for the past few seasons and an opening day win at Whitburn showed that they will there, or thereabouts this season.

Manager Scott Bonar will still be without forward Joe Tait who sustained a broken nose against Civil Service Strollers and could be missing for a few more weeks. Riley Haston has also sustained a hand injury that could keep him on the sidelines. Skipper Nick Aitchison and his defence have had two successive clean sheets and they will be determined to try to extend this to a third.
