History was made at Millfield last Tuesday when the Hi Hi’s played their first competitive floodlit match at Millfield. A new look Criagroyston side provided the opposition in this Conference A fixture. Unfortunately no fans were allowed in to see what turned out to be a very fast flowing entertaining match. The Edinburgh side scored the only goal of a keenly contested first half with the home side unlucky to be behind. Recent signing Ano Subasic headed in the equaliser from a Shaun Hill free kick and both sides chased the winner. Even the loss of defender Seamus Russell for a controversial second booking failed to deter Haddington and Hutchison, McGarry, Subasic and Auriemma all had chances to score the winner. The Hi Hi’s travel to meet Arniston Rangers at Gorebridge on Saturday.
