The Hi Hi’s maintained their slender lead at the top of Conference A when they easily beat Kirkcaldy and Dysart in Fife last Saturday. Haddington manager Joe Hamill brought in Ali Simpson for the suspended Guy McGarry and the rest of the side was unchanged from midweek. Skipper Auriemma put the visitors ahead in the sixth minute and added a second later in the half. This was quickly followed by a long-range effort from Ross King and the visitors led 3 – 0 at the break. Auriemma quickly claimed his hat trick when play resumed and minutes later added his fourth and Haddington’s fifth. Shaun Hill got on the scoresheet in the 59th minute and this was to end the scoring.
The Hi Hi’s are back on home territory tomorrow when Coldstream make their first visit to Millfield. The Streamers had a good win over Craigroyston at Home Park last Saturday and will be tough opponents.
