With Whittingehame Drive out of commission at the moment, the Hi Hi’s Under 20s side will play Friday’s East of Scotland Development League derby match against Preston Athletic under the lights at Millfield. The match kicks off at 8.00pm and it is hoped that  a good crowd turn up to see what should be an entertaining game. Preston currently sit at the top of the table on the same points as Penicuik Athletic while the Hi Hi’s are in fourth place, three points behind the top two but with a game in hand.

For seventy minutes last Friday evening the young Hi Hi’s played some good football in their derby match against Musselburgh Athletic at Pinkie. They looked to have clinched the three points as they led by four goals to nil – no less than they deserved. But a late lapse saw Burgh stage a dramatic recovery. It was 4-3 with ten minutes to go and it looked like the points would still go east but the home side equalised in the closing minutes.

Haddington will look to get over the line this week but they know that they face a difficult task against a talented Preston side who recently won a terrific match against joint top Penicuik by six goals to five.
