The Hi Hi’s are on their League Cup travels again tomorrow when they meet Heriot Watt University in a sectional match at the Riccarton campus. The students also got their League Cup campaign off to a winning start with a narrow 2 – 1 victory at Pumpherston and both sides will want to collect three points tomorrow with Premier League Musselburgh Athletic waiting in the wings for any slip ups. These sides met at Millfield in an East of Scotland Qualifying Cup tie back in August and Haddington ran out winners by six goals to three. Most of the spectators present will remember a really entertaining first half that produced no fewer than eight goals. The students scored an early opener but by the interval it was 5 – 3 to the Hi Hi’s and an early second half goal from Euan Watson completed the scoring in a very entertaining match.  Let’s hope for another open game tomorrow with the same outcome! Haddington will complete their League Cup sectional games tomorrow with home matches against Pumpherston on Saturday March 19th and Musselburgh on Saturday 2nd April. In between the Hi Hi’s cross the border to play Tweedmouth Rangers, on Saturday 26th March, in a rearranged Conference A match.
