Haddington Athletic’s first team committee have announced that after playing junior (semi pro) football for almost 80 years, they have submitted an application to move to the East of Scotland Senior league which is part of the SFA’s pyramid system. They will hear on Thursday evening if their application has been successful. It is believed that 15 other East Region clubs have also applied. A further aim is to bring Millfield up to SFA Entry Level licensing requirements so that the club can participate in the Scottish Cup.
