After what seems a short pre season following one of the longest seasons on record, the Hi Hi’s were back in action last night when they met local amateur side, Dunbar Athletic, in their first pre season friendly at Millfield. Ben Wardlaw was the only new face in a familiar Haddington line up and the home side led 3 – 0 at the break thanks to goals from Seamus Russell and a double from Dylan Tait. Manager Scott Bonnar rang the changes at the interval the home supporters in the crowd of over 150 saw debuts for recent signings Campbell McLellan, Lucas McGarry, Dale O’Hara, and Brodie MacKenzie. Second half goals from Sam Tait, Shaun Hill and a trilaist gave The Hi Hi’s a comfortable win.
There is an interesting friendly at Millfield this Saturday, 16th July, kick off 2.00pm, when Garstang Football Club from Lancashire visit Millfield. Garstang play in the North West Counties First Division North. Admission is by donation and season tickets will be on sale.
