Haddington are back on the league business this weekend as they face a Fife double header over the next two Saturdays. They will face Crossgates Primrose and Glenrothes over the next two weekends and with both of these Fife sides embroiled in the battle to avoid relegation, manager Scott Bonar and his players can expect two difficult games against clubs fighting hard to preserve their Premier Division status. The Hi Hi’s certainly don’t want to be dragged into this dogfight.
First up is a trip over the Forth on Saturday to meet Crossgates Primrose at Humbug Park. These sides met at Millfield on the opening day of the season with goals from Mark McGovern, Gary Windram, and Guy McGarry giving the home side maximum points in a 3-1 win. Much was expected from Crossgates this season but they have failed to meet expectations and currently languish in the bottom three. The visitors will be without influential midfield man Garry Windram and both Nick Aitchison and Seamus Russell will also miss out through injury. A tough match is anticipated with the home side eager to build on last Saturday’s win against Tynecastle in Edinburgh.
