Having lost to Bo’ness Athletic in the King Cup quarter final last Tuesday, the Hi Hi’s have another chance to reach a semi final when they entertain Perth side Kinnoull in the last eight of the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup at Millfield this Wednesday with a 7.30pm kick off. Manager Scott Bonar has goalkeeper Dale Cornet available again after suspension, but he will be without several key players through injury. Kinnoull edged out Bo’ness Athletic in extra time last Saturday and they will provide stiff opposition. The Hi Hi’s reached this stage with victories over Heriot Watt, Leith Athletic and Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts. There is a big incentive for both sides to win on Wednesday evening as the victors will have a home semi final against Gala Fairydean Rovers from the Lowland League, with this tie scheduled for either next Tuesday or Wednesday. Once again a big home support is expected at Millfield and they can play their part in what should be an entertaining ninety minutes.
