The Hi Hi’s met Tynecastle for the second time in two weeks when they met at a wet Millfield last Saturday. Having won 9 – 1 at Meggetland two weeks ago, an easy win was expected. But Tyncastle had put up stern resistance at  Bo’ness last week and they were determined to prove the pundits wrong. That’s how it turned outin the first half as Tynecastle defended in depth as the Hi Hi’s won corner after corner. The home side eventually broke the deadlock in the 26th minute when Simpson netted from close range. Tynecastle suffered another blow in the 40th minute when MacDonald was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Rose. It was all one way traffic after the interval with Haddington hitting six goals. Two point blank finishes from Grant Rose in the 52nd and 55th minutes put the result beyond all doubt. Further goals from Harris, Nicholson and Law extended the home lead before Grant Rose completed the scoring and grabbed another hat trick.
