The Hi Hi’s are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they meet Penicuik Athletic at Millfield. When the sides met at Montgomery Park at the start of the season, the Hi Hi’s recorded their first competitive win in Penicuik for something like 30 years! A double from Tom Davies gave them all three points. In the corresponding match at Millfield last season goals from Gary Windram, Guy McGarry and Robbie Peffers overturned an early Penicuik lead for what was Haddington’s first win over the Midlothian side in a very long time. So although Haddington’s recent league form has been patchy, a big three points and an elusive league double are at stake on Saturday.
Spectators will see more differences at Millfield as work progresses on the new path round to the stand as well as work on a pedestrian path at the west end of ground which will see a new boundary fence being installed over the next few weeks.
Manager Scott Bonar would be delighted with recent signing Ryan Quinn’s performance in Fife last Saturday and the player will be eager to put one over on his former teammates having moved from Penicuik to Millfield a few weeks ago. The Haddington squad may also contain another new signing as manager Bonar revamps his squad with next season in mind. On the down side the Haddington team boss has some injuries to contend with and won’t finalise his line up until closer to kick off.
