Haddington’s visit to Perth in late October last season to play Jeanfield Swifts, proved to be one of the low points of the season, when in a nightmare start they found themselves three down in twenty minutes. They eventually lost 4 -1. Some revenge was gained in the return match at Millfield late last season when goals from Joe Tait and Guy McGarry gave the Hi Hi’s a 2-1 win.
So manager Scott Bonar and his players will be keen to erase the memory of last season’s visit to Perth when they meet high flying Jeanfield at Riverside Stadium this Saturday. The Perth side are in tremendous form at the moment. A couple of weeks ago they met SPFL side Elgin City in the Scottish Cup and provided the result of the round by winning by an astonishing six goals to nil. Last Saturday they followed that up by beating the Premier Division form side, Sauchie, by four goals to ne after going one down.
So it won’t be an easy ninety minutes for the Hi Hi’s but they will be hoping to upset the form book. Former Kilmarnock youngster, Keir Russell, is fit again after injury, as he is added to the Haddington squad.
