After last week’s Qualifying Cup postponement at Dundonald, the Hi Hi’s hope to get back in action this Saturday when they travel to play Penicuik Athletic in a Premier Division match. When the clubs met at Millfield earlier this year, former Hi Hi’s boss, Stevie McLeish, was in charge. Since then Penicuik are on their third manager – both Calum Elliot and David Hannah have come and gone. Former Edinburgh United manager Lewis Coult took over at the start of the season and has done pretty well considering the turnover in players. They recently put an end to Dunbar United’s winning run with an impressive 3-2 win at New Countess Park. It’s a good few years since the Hi Hi’s beat them in a competitive fixture and manager Scott Bonar’s side will need to bring their A game to Penicuik Park on Saturday if they are to end this barren run. With both Mikey Robertson and Mark McGovern out until 2024, manager Bonnar will also be without Seamus Russell who is unavailable for the next couple of months. However Keir Russell may be fit to return after a few weeks on the sidelines.
