The Hi Hi’s made the short trip to Meggetland last Saturday to meet Tynecastle in a Premier League match. When the sides met at Millfield back in August the points were shared in a goalless draw so another tight game was in prospect. Haddington went into the game with an eight match unbeaten run to protect and the they were backed by one of their biggest travelling supports of the season. Goalmouth action was in short supply in the first half with both sides cancelling the other out. The visitors stepped up the pace after the break and they controlled most of the proceedings. The breakthrough came just after the hour mark. Substitute Dylan Tait was only on the park for a matter of minutes when he was first to react after Lucas McGarry robbed a Tynecastle defender. He broke through on goal and beat goalkeeper Jackson with a composed finish. The Hi Hi’s pushed for a second and only the post denied Ethan Williams when he beat Jackson from all of 20 yards. Tynecastle never gave up and in the final minutes goalkeeper Campbell McLellan pulled of a tremendous save to keep his side ahead. This was a really good team performance from Haddington and there were good performances all over the park.
