It came as no surprise that last Saturday’s game at Crossgates fell foul of the weather. The wet start to April was so bad that clubs were allowed to call off their matches on the Friday and the match at Crossgates was postponed after the Fife club supplied League Officials with video evidence of Humbug Park surface.

The Hi Hi’s have opposition from Fife again tomorrow when Glenrothes visit Millfield for the first time in the Premier League. The Fifers gained promotion last season but have found it tough going at tier 6. They sit two points clear off the bottom three and are battling to save their Premier League status. A few weeks ago they collected three valuable points when they toppled league leaders Broxburn Athletic, so manager Scott Bonar and his players can expect a challenging ninety minutes. Although Haddington are currently sitting mid table things can change quickly, but they will be keen to finish in the top half of the league for a second successive season.

The free Saturday will have allowed some of the injury issues to clear and it was good to see captain Nick Aitchison, play seventy minutes for the under 20s at Prestonpans last Friday, without any after affects of his recent knee injury. Both Guy McGarry and Seamus Russell should also be close to full fitness.

When the sides met at Warout Stadium back in September, a goal from Gabri Auriemma was all that separated the sides and it could well be equally close tomorrow.
