The Hi Hi’s are at home again this Saturday when Dundonald Bluebell provide the opposition at Millfield in an East of Scotland Premier League match. Given the low temperatures that we are experiencing this week, there may need to be a Saturday morning inspection and local grade 1 referee, Iain Sneddon, is on call to carry out a pitch inspection before he travels to Perth to take charge of the Scottish Premiership match between St Johnstone and Kilmarnock.
Dundonald appear to have recovered from a shaky start to the season which wasn’t surprising given that there had been a number of personnel changes at Moorside Park over the summer. One of the players departing was Luke Kennedy who has made a big impression since moving to Millfield. He will no doubt be hoping to put one over on his former club tomorrow. Manager Scott Bonar will be hoping to have more regulars available. Lucas McGarry should be available and both Craig Reid and Seamus Russell are nearing full fitness. Unfortunately the knee injury that Ali Simpson picked up last week could keep him on the sidelines for a few weeks. Striker Tom Davies, who injured his knee in the recent match at Whitburn, could be out of action for several months.
