Having lost a two goal lead and then scored a last gasp winner at Hill of Beath the previous Saturday, Haddington crossed the Forth again to meet Crossgates Primrose in a Premier Division match. Crossgates had won the reverse fixture back at Millfied at the start of the season and were keen to complete a league double, However the Hi Hi’s have been on a good run lately and were keen to grab a win. As it was neither side managed to pick up the three points on offer and had to settle for a share of the points. The bumpy playing surface wasn’t conducive to good football and the match was fairly uneventful. The Fifers opened the scoring in the 21st minute but the visitors should have been on level terms before the interval when they were awarded a penalty kick following a hand ball in the box. The usually reliable Dylan Tait smacked the crossbar from the sot and the chance was gone.
The introduction of Joe Tait livened up the Haddington attack and they drew level with twenty minutes remaining when skipper Gabri Auriemma scored following some good play on the left. Both sides had chances to win it but there were no further goals.
