The much anticipated league clash between Dunbar United and the Hi Hi’s took place on front of a crowd of almost 500 at New Countess Park last Saturday. But it turned out a day to forget for Haddington and the many supporters who made the short trip along the A1. The Hi Hi’s lost by three goals to nil and all three goals were conceded cheaply. Grant Rose should have equalised after an early goal was conceded but his close range miss summed up the day. Two down at the break and an early Dunbar goal just after half time, gave the Seasiders a lead that they never looked like losing. In terms of possession there wasn’t much in it but the visitors lacked that all important cutting edge.
