Haddington’s last match in junior football took place at Millfield last Saturday when Whitburn Juniors provided the opposition. Almost the length of the Premier Division separated these sides but it didn’t appear that way in a match that had a distinct end of season feel. Declan Quinn’s 59th minute opener put the home side ahead but a defensive mix up presented Whitburn with an equaliser in the 79th minute. However Players Player of the Year Andy Jones ensured that the Hi Hi’s ended almost 80 years in junior football with a win with a typical solo goal in the 90th minute.
