The East of Scotland League season begins on Saturday after a delay of almost three months. Whether it makes sense to start playing semi professional football behind closed doors and without access to changing facilities, will be academic for a few weeks at least. The Hi Hi’s entertain Dunipace in a Conference A match and these are usually tight encounters. Both teams will be keen to get off to a good start and manager Joe Hamill will field a side not dissimilar to the one that played last season. Local lad Ano Subasic has been signed from Ormiston and he is in line to make his competitive debut. History will be made at Millfield next Tuesday when Craigroyston provide the opposition in the first floodlit game to be played at Millfield. These matches will be played under strict Co-vid protocols and NO spectators will be admitted. Millfield officials ask supporters to respect this rule as it will be strictly applied. The Club are making arrangements to film the match and hope to make highlights available on social media.
