The Hi Hi’s are back at Millfield this Saturday, their first home game since 21st October when they lost to county rivals Musselburgh Athletic. Their opponents tomorrow are Dundonald Bluebell in a Premier Division match. These sides were due to meet in Fife last weekend, in an East of Scotland Qualifying Cup match, but the game was postponed shortly before kick off by the match referee who was unhappy with a small part of the pitch. Given that all of the Haddington contingent had travelled and were at the ground, it was far from ideal. Manager Scott Bonar took the opportunity to put his players through their paces in a short training session but the visitors were disappointed not to get a competitive outing.
These teams last met in a league match in March which was part of the Groundhop Weekend. A big Millfield crowd saw Dundonald win by three goals to one, ending a good run of results by the Hi Hi’s. Another close contest is expected tomorrow and Haddington will be hoping that home advantage counts this time.
