The wintry weather last week put paid to Haddington’s first home game since 21st October. Referee Iain Sneddon had little option when confronted with a snow covered Millfield on Friday afternoon, on a weekend when not one East of Scotland match was played, and several SPFL matches failed to beat the weather.

The Hi Hi’s are hoping that the weather relents this week so that their East of Scotland Premier Division match against Kinnoull can take place. The club are hoping that home supporters can still find their way to the ground after a long absence! After a good start to the season, Haddington have lost their last few league matches with only a draw at Penicuik breaking the sequence, and those present at Penicuik came away wondering how points had been dropped. So manager Scott Bonar and his players will be determined to take all three points on Saturday and keep in touch with the clubs at the top of the league. When the sides met in Perth in August, Haddington overturned a 1-0 half time deficit to run out deserved winners by five goals to two. The aim on Saturday will be to complete their first league double of the season.
