Haddington were left on the side lines last Saturday when their Conference A match at Thornton was postponed. Thornton’s pitch failed a morning inspection and the Hi Hi’s then lost their position at the top of the table when Leith Athletic won at St Andrews to maintain their 100% record and moved into top spot with 27 points from 9 matches.

The Hi Hi’s are still waiting to hear who their Scottish Cup opponents will be after the Formartine – Turriff tie was postponed for a third time. A neutral venue has been selected and Kynoch Park, Keith has been chosen to host the match tomorrow evening. It would appear that despite the new Co-Vid restrictions announced yesterday, semi professional football is being allowed to continue and the winners of tomorrows’ tie at Keith will be at Millfield on Boxing Day to make a little bit of history. This will be the first time that Hi Hi’s have played in the Scottish Cup at Millfield.
