The East of Scotland Football League have called the current season ‘null and void’ after clubs voted for this option last weekend. The League had stated earlier in the season that the leagues would only be decided on PPG (points per game) if clubs had played half of their league games. As adult contact sport won’t return until 17th May it was decided to ask the clubs to vote on the outcome of the season. The Hi Hi’s, unbeaten after ten league games, voted for PPG but the vast majority of clubs voted to end the season. This was disappointing news as the club were well on schedule to challenge for promotion to the Premier League. Now manager Joe Hamill and his players will have to do it all again when they meet up for pre season training in advance of a mid July start to the new season.
