Season 2021/22 will be remembered by all Hi Hi’s supporters for many different reasons, certainly as one of the club’s most successful, which culminated in the team winning the East of Scotland Conference A championship. It will also be remembered for crowds turning up at Millfield in numbers rarely seen before and when end of season attendance figures are published shortly, the Hi Hi’s average home league attendance of 240, should see the club placed favourably alongside fellow East of Scotland and also Lowland League clubs. A big travelling support is expected when Haddington play their final game of the season against long time title challengers Leith Athletic at Peffermill on Saturday (KO 3.00pm). Once again top supporter Andrew Hunter is running a supporters bus to the game. The Hi Hi’s and Leith have been neck and neck for most of the season and Leith’s victory at Millfield in February – Hi Hi’s only league defeat to date – made things very interesting. However Haddington haven’t dropped a single point since that day while Leith’s challenge faltered in recent weeks. Only pride is at stake tomorrow but neither side will want to lose.
