After travelling to Berwick for their first pre season friendly, the Hi Hi’s are on home turf this Saturday when they entertain East Stirlingshire at Millfield. The Falkirk side have played most of their football in the Scottish League and can claim a former manager in Sir Alex Ferguson. However relegation several years ago has seen them playing their football in the Lowland League – tier 5 of Scottish football – a level above the Hi Hi’s. While Haddington were losing narrowly at Berwick last Saturday, East Stirling were impressive winners against Clydebank who are one of the top sides in the West of Scotland league. So manager Scott Bonar nd his players can expect another tough 90 minutes as they prepare for what is likely to be a highly competitive East of Scotland Premier championship. Although Linlithgow have left to join the Lowland League, the promotion of Dunbar, Glenrothes , Kinnoul and Luncarty will ensure a competitive league.
