After losing to Heriot Watt the previous week Haddington entertained Conference A pacesetters Leith Athletic at Millfield last Saturday. However once again defensive frailties were all to evident and the home side lost by three goals to two, with all three goals down to individual errors. Manager Joe Hamill and his side need to eradicate these errors if they are to feature in the promotion race. As in the recent Lothian Thistle match, the Hi Hi’s gifted their visitors a two goal lead. A penalty converted by Gordon Harris on the stroke of half time gave the Hi Hi’s some hope. Another error early in the second half allowed Leith to restore their two goal lead. A well taken goal by Gabri Aurriemma set up an interesting finish but Leith held on to take all three points.

The Hi Hi’s meet Craigroyston in Edinburgh this Wednesday and need to collect maximun points to keep in touch with the teams above them.
