Haddington’s first game after moving to the East of Scotland Football League in 2018, was a League Cup tie at Coldstream, which resulted in a 5 – 3 win. A subsequent visit on league business produced a 2- 0 victory for the visitors, but in these last couple of Covid affected seasons, the Streamers never played at Millfield. Well that all changes on Saturday when an in form Coldstream side make their Millfield debut in a Conference A encounter. Both clubs won away from home last Saturday, but it was Coldstream’s fine 2 0 victory over Edinburgh United at Paties Road that caught the eye. The Borders side are on a decent run of form and may feel that they are the side to end Haddington’s club record of 24 unbeaten league matches. The Hi Hi’s will be happy to be back on the excellent Millfield surface and, with skipper Shaun Hill fit again, they will be going all out to preserve that record and also to keep some daylight between themselves and nearest challengers Leith Athletic. Once again a big home crowd is expected to add their crucial support.
